Private Christian Junior Kindergarten Program

RCA’s Junior Kindergarten program for 4- and 5-year-olds offers a faith-based curriculum that prepares children for Senior Kindergarten. Our private Christian junior kindergarten program emphasizes essential skills like listening, following instructions, literacy, phonemic awareness, handwriting, math, and science. We cultivate independence and self-confidence through a balanced approach to physical, social, spiritual, cognitive, and emotional development, all within a nurturing Christian environment that teaches Biblical truths and principles.

Junior Kindergarten Features and Schedule Options With a low 1:13 teacher-to-student ratio, RCA’s Junior Kindergarten program provides personalized attention and quality instruction. Parents can choose between two flexible scheduling options to suit their family’s needs:

  • Full-time: 5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
  • Part-time: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Both schedules follow RCA’s standard school hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Admission requirements include being 4 years old by June 1 and fully toilet-trained.

Thematic Learning and Christian-Based Curriculum Our curriculum is designed around engaging thematic units that incorporate Biblical concepts and weekly memory verses. Junior Kindergarten students enjoy a variety of interactive learning formats, including large-group and small-group sessions, as well as diverse learning centers for hands-on activities. Large-group instruction covers essential themes such as calendar skills, weather, storytelling, Bible lessons, and songs. Learning centers include activities for art, handwriting, math, science, dramatic play, STEM, fine motor skills, and literacy.
