Private Christian Middle School
Private Christian Middle School (7th - 8th grade)
At RCA, we are committed to maintaining academic excellence through rigorous curriculum and quality instruction for our private Christian middle school students. We support our students to reach their full potential! As students progress to middle school in 7th grade, they gain more freedom and develop the habits and skills needed to successfully navigate their learning journey. Through 7th and 8th grades, students build on the foundation of their elementary years and begin coursework that prepares them for more challenging high school level courses. 8th graders have the opportunity to earn high school credit in math and science, allowing them to pursue an advanced course path in high school.
The RCA middle school experience is defined by a family atmosphere where students are known, loved, and prepared. Middle school students have the opportunity to explore and find their niche with extra-curricular clubs, athletics, and fine arts. Through weekly chapel services, students worship and learn together in an environment that fosters their biblical literacy and shares the good news of the Gospel. Advisory groups, led by a faculty mentor, engage students in a small group setting to encourage personal growth in the habits and attitudes that will help them be successful. Additionally, every student is part of a “House,” which they remain in from enrollment to graduation; Houses encourage comradery and friendly competition as they participate in various games and service activities throughout the year.
As students enter their teenage years, Middle School can be a challenging time for students and parents alike. RCA desires to partner with parents as we guide early adolescents through this time of growth and new-found independence. To help nurture social and emotional growth, our School Counseling department provides students research-based, Biblical coaching in developing the skills needed for effective coping strategies, healthy self-identity, and positive peer relationships. Students have the opportunity to explore and find their niche with extra-curricular clubs, athletics, and fine arts. You can learn more about our Middle School curriculum in our Admissions Magazine on pages 17-18.
